Liatrio & Kaiser Permanente

November 2016 - May 2017:  Marc Urbaitel (Senior Delivery Consultant) - Sr. Manager of KP Services Transformation Project

Senior Delivery Consultant with Liatrio working on a large DevOps transformation project at Kaiser Permanente to uplift their managed internal web services development and delivery process to increase the speed of product delivery.   Sr. Manager responsible for the design and implementation of a new pipeline.   Goal:   To fix a broken team of 100+ engineers that currently take six months to deploy a change down to two weeks and eventually daily builds and deployments.   Successfully on-boarded 40+ Java Services onto the new pipeline and uplifted a team of engineers to support and continue development and features.

Fantasy Sports Game

January 2016 - Present:  Urbaitel Enterprises (UE) Scrum Team of 2 - Marc Urbaitel (Director, Architect, Developer)

Successfully rebooted and relaunched a Fantasy Baseball Sports Game for the 2016 season converting a customer base of over 3,000 into paying customers.   The software is a sports game that tracks homeruns with the ability to create leagues of teams and a personalized experience for each team owner.  Features include an advanced, real-time drafting tools, game dashboards and up-to-the-minute updates when homeruns are hit all using React & Websockets.

iOS Mobile Application

April 2016:  Urbaitel Enterprises (UE) Scrum Team of 3 - Marc Urbaitel (Director, Architect, Developer)

Native iOS application that works with the online solution, for all Fantasy Homerun members.  Works for iPhones and iPads with realtime notifications and dashboards for a personalized user experience for each league's teams.

Merchandise Planning Application

July 2015 - February 2016:  Marc Urbaitel (Senior Full Stack Engineer & Architect)

Successfully created a stable, solid internal application for merchandise planning for Nike's planning department.  Launched the first internal cloud application ahead of the scheduled deadline by two months.   The software was written entirely from scratch using a new Javascript framework (Aurelia).  Marc worked directly with Nike's SRE team to design and build the process for all internal web applications in Nike's private AWS cloud.  Marc designed, developed and deployed the project with zero technology debt, enforcing 100% code coverage and including unit and integration testing suite.   Marc helped hire a team of six engineers and helped to train and mentor them on best development practices and standards.

Festival Manager Solution

January 2015 - April 2015:  Urbaitel Enterprises (UE) Scrum Team of 3 - Marc Urbaitel (Tech Lead, Architect, Developer)

Vendini's Logistic Manager is software built to manage all aspects of a festival.  It includes logistics from booking artists, managing guests & volunteers and onsite operations including check-in and credential issuance.   UE took a fresh approach to the project and in four months had an entirely new platform built that focused on features non-existent in the current application.   This new administrative solution enables event organizers to map Access Control permissions, upload RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) wristbands, an entire rich suite of Box Office tools to search & check-in patrons by assigning them RFID wristbands or Numbered passes, Voucher system for one-time passes & a rich fulfillment system that integrates to ship & manage the whole process.

Marc successfully launched the project ahead of the scheduled timeline with a team of consultants.  It powered a 30,000 person festival on launch with an interactive dashboard of reports detailing the entry of participants and exceeded the expectations of the client.

DevOps Continuous Integration Solution

Nov 2014 - Dec 2014:  Urbaitel Enterprises - Marc Urbaitel (Tech Lead, Architect, Developer)

Designed, Architected & Developed an automated DevOps environment for Vendini's technology division.  The new system included localized VM on each developer's MAC, running all applications with testing scripts.  Included was a detailed process utilizing git branches that automatically build testing environments in Amazon's AWS via Codeship.   This enables the quality control division to test specific enhancements or bugs independently in an insolated environment using Docker containers and web ports.

Sun Edison Connect

2014: Marc Urbaitel (Senior Web Developer) & Scrum Team of 5 with ZDCA

Marc Urbaitel worked on a premier project as a consultant with ZDCA Design & Development and Sun Edison, a leader in Solar Panel installations worldwide.   The project, was to build a new interface to report on clients' solar panel usage.   Features included a full administration suite of reporting tools with diagnostics and pin-point meter readings.   Marc personally worked on the Solar Savings suite of reports that helped clients and technicians maximize their savings and usage.

Energy Management Console Solution 

2014: Marc Urbaitel (Senior Web Developer) with ZDCA

Marc Urbaitel worked as a consultant with ZDCA Design & Development, Sun Edison & Costco. ZDCA designed a modern interface for their HVAC & Lighting management console with new features to control & schedule their warehouse energy usage.   As Senior Developer, I implemented the new design, figured out the technology solutions needed to distribute the light-weight Javascript system on old technology existing in their warehouses.   The software is installed in every Costco warehouse in the United States.

Scalable Online Ticketing Solution

2003 - 2013:  Marc Urbaitel (CTO, Architect) & Scrum Team of 10

Designed, Architected & Developed a Scalable Online Ticketing Purchase Solution using off-line processing that can horizontally scale in any cloud service.  Developed the project with vendors, consultants and employees integrating existing platforms and leveraging new technologies.  Proven solution that can scale its processing power with additional cloud servers, proven rates of selling 400 tickets per minute with over $500 million in gross revenue.

Point of Sale Box Office Solution

2004 - 2005:  Marc Urbaitel (CTO, Architect) & Scrum Team of 4

Point-of-sale touch screen and mobile box office solution deployed on Windows and Apple iOS platforms operating on the web service in sync with online ticket inventories and a central event database.  Operated by over 330 client locations worldwide totaling $150 million gross.

Remote Full Service Box Office

2004:  Marc Urbaitel (CTO, Architect) & Scrum Team of 2

Designed a stand-alone server solution in remote locations that perform a master-to-master synchronization with the web service for the point-of-sale application.   Also provides gate scanning and reporting, scanning in over 1.3 million tickets to date.

Scalable Throttling System

Scalable Throttling System deployed on top of the ticketing application to protect against a Denial of Service Attack and control the number of concurrent users in the system. Successfully handled over 150,000 concurrent users.

Rapid development of a high-demand registration system to offer a low-cost solution to solve the problem of scaling a high-demand ticket sale.  Successfully handled over 100,000 concurrent connections.

Television Show Registration Solution

2001 - 2003:  Marc Urbaitel (Lead Developer, Architect) & Scrum Team of 2

Built an online registration & administration system to manage Television Live Taping studios.  A free service that enables TV shows to have a full attendance on every show, the solution includes a series of steps to ensure the patron attends the show, with email & phone verification.  The administration solution is extensive and is in current use today, managing thousands of television tapings for shows such as: Bill Maher Live, Family Feud, Deal or No Deal, Jeopardy, Tonight Show, Wheel of Fortune.

An online solution to fill up crowd scenes for movie production.  The software includes an online registration and verification system with several status steps to ensure the patrons attend including a wait-list system.
